History of Saqr Park
The park, which was initiated by His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah from 1948 to 2010, was inaugurated in 1991. Its creation aimed to provide a natural sanctuary in the area. The park is a realization of his dreams of peaceful co-existence of humans & avians and also inter-community bonhomie.
